Help Us In Supporting The Hawai'i Foodbank
The greatest gift you can give to others is the work of self
Paraphrased from the Hawaii Foodbank Website:
There are two warehouses run by Hawaii Foodbank: one on Oahu with 23,668 square feet and the other on Kauai with 4,750 square feet. AIB inspections and certifications are in place for both warehouses. Various types of food are received, inspected, sorted, stored, and distributed at our warehouses.
A variety of sources supply us with food, including food manufacturers and growers, food purchases, food retailers and wholesalers, Feeding America, individual and corporate food drives, and federal food commodities.

Our warehouses prepare food for distribution with the help of volunteers and staff. Their tasks include checking the integrity of dry foods and produce, sorting categories, and boxing items for warehouse storage. Preparing food this way makes it easier for those in need to receive it faster and more efficiently.
Our fleet of vehicles loads and distributes food safely across Oahu and Kauai once it is ready to be delivered to our food partner agencies and programs.
There are more than 200 food partner agencies on O’ahu and Kauai that the Hawaii Foodbank partners with. Most of our food distribution channels are our food partner agencies, which serve food in many different ways based on their communities’ needs. Among them are food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, domestic abuse shelters, and rehabilitation centers.
In addition to ‘Ohana Produce Plus and Food 4 Keiki, we distribute food through federal commodities programs.
